Terminal modules are purely mechanical components for configuring the ET 200S. They hold the electronic modules and power modules. The modules are automatically coded when they are initially plugged in.
Build-as-you-go voltage buses integrated into the terminal modules significantly reduce the wiring outlay and the cabinet space required. The build-as-you-go shielding of the backplane bus enhances data security.
Rugged design and keyed connection technology enable them to be used in a harsh industrial environments (vibration resistance of up to 5g, for example).
For supplying load/sensor voltage on two build-as-you-go voltage buses. A third voltage bus (AUX1, max. 230 V) can be used individually, e.g. for a constant supply of electrical energy to light barriers or for a protective ground conductor. Power modules are plugged onto TM-P modules for voltage monitoring and fusing. TM-P modules can be used any number of times at any point within the ET 200S. This means that the size of a potential group can be determined individually. The first module behind the IM 151 is always a TM-P with a plug-on power module.
Terminal modules for electronic modules (TM-E); Electronic modules (inputs/outputs, technology modules) are plugged into TM-E modules. Unused signal lines from non-equivalent signal encoders can also be connected.
