The module is plugged into the S7-300 in place of a digital input or output module. This allows the user to control program execution by setting the inputs.
The CPU reads the input signal states set on the simulation module and processes them in the application program. The resulting output signal states are sent to the module where they are indicated by LEDs, providing the user with information on program execution.
The SM 374 simulator module provides the user with a convenient means of testing his/her programs during startup and operation.
